Privacy notice: how we use your details.
When you ask us for a solar site visit, you trust us with your name, phone number and electricity details. This page explains in plain words what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how you can see, correct or delete it.
Who is responsible.
Suryavamshi Solar Projects LLP ("we", "us") runs suryavamshi.com and decides how the details you share with us are used. Our office is at Door No.414, Chithira, Muttathiparamb P.O, Cherthala, Kerala 688527.
This notice covers this website, the enquiry form on our Contact and Calculator pages, and the calls, WhatsApp chats and emails that follow. You can reach us on +91 9061626868 (Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM) or suryavamshisolarprojects@gmail.com.
The details we keep.
| Where it comes from | What it is |
|---|---|
| What you type in our form | Required: your name, phone number and town. Optional: PIN code, KSEB consumer number, email, your monthly bill or units, the best time to call, and anything you write in the notes box. |
| What we work out | Your estimated monthly units and the solar system size that suits you, worked out from the bill or units you enter, plus the date and time you sent the form. |
| What our team adds | Notes from our calls, where your enquiry stands, and when to follow up. |
| When you contact us another way | Whatever you share by phone, WhatsApp, email, Instagram or Facebook, such as photos of your KSEB bill or roof, or your location pin so our engineer can find your home. A KSEB bill shows your name, address and consumer number. |
| If you go ahead with an installation | The documents your KSEB net-metering and PM Surya Ghar subsidy applications need, such as your KSEB bill, your Aadhaar and your bank account details for the subsidy payment. We ask for your Aadhaar and bank details only after you decide to go ahead. |
| When you browse this site | The technical details every website receives, such as your IP address (the number your internet connection uses online, which shows roughly where you are) and browser type. If you tap Accept on our cookie banner, also how you use our pages, recorded by Microsoft Clarity (see analytics and cookies). |
Our website and enquiry form never ask for bank, card or Aadhaar details. We ask for your Aadhaar and bank details only if you go ahead with an installation, and use them only for your KSEB and PM Surya Ghar applications.
What we use it for.
- To call or WhatsApp you back, answer your questions and fix a time for your free site visit.
- To design your system and prepare your quote.
- If you go ahead, to install your system and to apply for KSEB net metering and the PM Surya Ghar subsidy for you. Those applications send your details to KSEB and the government's PM Surya Ghar portal.
- To look after your system afterwards, for service and warranty.
- To see which pages help visitors and which confuse them, so we can improve the site (with Microsoft Clarity, only if you tap Accept on our cookie banner).
We use your enquiry details because you chose to send them to us to get a call back. We won't use them for anything unrelated, we won't send you marketing messages unless you agree, and we never sell your details. We use Microsoft Clarity only if you agree on our cookie banner, and you can take that back at any time (see analytics and cookies).
The services we use.
Most of these services run our website and keep track of enquiries for us. Some of them, such as Microsoft (for Clarity), Meta (for WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook), Google (for the Malayalam fonts) and GitHub, also use what they receive under their own privacy policies. KSEB and the government's PM Surya Ghar portal get your details only if you become a customer and want us to apply. Some of these services store data outside India.
| Service | What it does for us | What it gets | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Stores the enquiries sent from our form | Everything you type in the form, plus your IP address and browser type, which it keeps in its logs for a short time | Singapore |
| Keeps a copy of each enquiry in our Google Sheet, runs our business email, and supplies the Malayalam fonts on our മലയാളം page | Your form details and any email you send us. On our Malayalam page, Google also gets your IP address and browser, to send you the fonts. | Google's servers, which may be outside India | |
| Microsoft Clarity | Shows us how visitors use the site, only if you tap Accept on our cookie banner | How you scroll, tap and move around our pages, the addresses of the pages you open, your device and browser, and your rough location from your IP address. It doesn't see what you type into our enquiry form, but it does see the bill or units you enter in our calculator. | Microsoft's cloud (Azure); Microsoft doesn't say which country |
| GitHub Pages | Hosts this website | Your IP address, which GitHub logs for security, and the address of each page you open | GitHub's servers, outside India |
| WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook (Meta) | Carries our chats with you: when you message us, and when our team messages you on WhatsApp about your enquiry | Your phone number and the messages and photos we exchange. Some of our WhatsApp buttons fill in the message for you from what you typed in the form, such as your name, phone and bill. When you tap one, WhatsApp may receive that message even if you don't press Send. | Meta's servers, under WhatsApp's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy |
| KSEB and the PM Surya Ghar portal | Handle your net-metering and subsidy applications, only if you become a customer and want us to apply | The details those applications ask for, such as your KSEB consumer number, Aadhaar and bank account details | India |
Inside our business, only our own team can see enquiries: in our staff portal, which needs a password, in our Google Sheet, and in any spreadsheet we download from them. We may also share details when the law requires it, for example with the police or a court.
How we see what works.
We use Microsoft Clarity to learn which pages help visitors and which confuse them, so we can fix them. Clarity only runs if you agree: by tapping Accept on the cookie banner at the bottom of the screen (it shows until you answer), or by switching it on below or in Settings. If you tap Reject, or don't answer, it doesn't load. Clarity makes recordings of visits that show taps, clicks, scrolling and mouse movements, and heatmaps (pictures of where people tap most). Clarity doesn't see what you type into our enquiry form. It does see the bill or units you enter in our calculator: on the screen, and in the web addresses of our buttons and of the next page you open.
Clarity keeps most recordings for 30 days, and heatmaps, the taps it records, a random sample of recordings and any recordings we save for up to 9 months. To recognise you when you come back, Clarity and Microsoft store cookies (small files) in your browser. They last from one day to about 13 months. We have told Clarity not to share data with Microsoft Advertising. Microsoft explains its own use of this data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Cookie names, for the technically minded: _clck (1 year) and _clsk (1 day) from Clarity, and Microsoft cookies such as MUID (about 13 months).
This is your answer on our cookie banner. Change it here or in Settings (the gear button at the top of every page) at any time. Clarity runs only while this is on. Other browsers and devices keep their own setting.
Tapping Reject or switching Clarity off also deletes its own cookies from this browser. Microsoft's cookies, such as MUID, are stored by Microsoft's websites, so we can't remove them. You can clear them in your browser settings.
Questions about Clarity? Ask our Grievance Officer.
Our site also remembers a few choices in your own browser, so they stay the same from page to page: light or dark mode, text size, animations, the sun cursor, and your answer on the cookie banner. These choices are kept in your browser, not in cookies, and we don't collect them. If Clarity is on, its recordings show the page as you saw it, including these choices. Apart from Clarity, this website sets no cookies.
How long, and how safely.
We keep your enquiry while we are helping you. If you become a customer, we keep your project details until your system's warranty ends or for as long as tax and other laws require, whichever is longer. If you don't go ahead, we delete your details once we no longer need them to follow up, or sooner if you ask. When we delete your details, we remove them from our database, our Google Sheet and our own records.
This website uses a secure (https) connection. Anyone can send us an enquiry, but no visitor can read enquiries back: only our team can, after signing in, and nobody else can create a login. If a data breach affects your details, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your details, your say.
- See them: ask for a summary of the details we hold about you and who we have shared them with.
- Correct them: fix anything wrong, incomplete or out of date.
- Delete them: we will delete your details unless the law requires us to keep them, for example tax records of a finished installation. Clarity's records are the exception: Microsoft deletes them on a fixed schedule (see below).
- Change your mind: tell us at any time to stop using your details, as easily as you sent them. For Microsoft Clarity, just switch it off in Settings (the gear button at the top of every page) or under analytics and cookies; it stops at once. We stop from then on, but this doesn't undo what we already did with your agreement.
- Complain: raise any concern with our Grievance Officer, below.
- Name someone: choose a family member or another person who can use these rights for you if you pass away or are unable to act yourself.
To use any of these, WhatsApp or call us from the phone number you gave in your enquiry, or email us and tell us that number, so we can find your details and check it's you. It's free, and we reply within one month. Clarity doesn't store your name or phone number. To stop Clarity, use the switch: it stops at once, but it doesn't delete what Clarity has already recorded. Microsoft deletes most recordings after 30 days, and heatmaps, the taps it records, a random sample of recordings and any recordings we save after 9 months. Clarity can't delete one visitor's data without deleting everyone's, so we can't delete just yours sooner. If you have questions about it, ask our Grievance Officer.

We will resolve your complaint within one month of receiving it. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, the government body for privacy complaints under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The Board is not taking complaints yet; we will add a link here when it does.
Children and changes.
Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we find we hold a child's details without a parent's consent, we will delete them.
Indian privacy law applies to how we handle your details, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. When anything here changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
